PiccalilliFried Green Tomatoes (no, seriously these are goood)
My grandmother used to make Green Tomato Mincemeat Pie (sweet and spicy...and PIE)...I don't have her recipe, but you could google it. I think it also has raisins and apples and other stuff in it.We have not even seen a flurry yet, but November usually brings it on....
My only recipe consists of chucking them in paper bags and glaring out the window at the cold until they turn ripe or rot. I've currently got 3 large bags of them. Bah! Might need to try either frying them for Sunday dinner or that pie.
green tomato chutney is my favourite, and it keeps very well.
